Default Rear License Plate Mount

I was out playing in the woods this weekend and must have rubbed my license plate mount on something, it was loose and I pressed it back on, throughout the week it has been loose several times, I went through an automatic car wash today and afterwards the last of the clips were broken off/missing...

A replacement isn't terribly expensive but it does hang out there ready to be broken again... better ideas out there?

Thanks,
Jon

Relocate it to the spare then you don't have to worry about it anymore

I'm not sure if I am legally required to light it... I guess I need to check on that.

Yes. In all 50 states you must have a light for the plate. There are many relocation brackets out there and most have some sort of optional light kit.

I thought seriously about doing a spare tire mount (they look good!) but then I thought if I needed my spare, I'd probably be having a bad day and I won't really be in the mood to piss with removing the plate and light as well as the spare. And I sure wasn't going to pay $100 for a kit.

Bought a plate mount and a light and screwed it to the bumper. Done.
