I have a Rubicon Unlimited auto with 35s on and am going to regear. Does anyone know who has the best gear quality and also are the 5:13 really weaker than the 4:88s. If so, should this be a concern?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

As far as Gear Mfg's out there for the JK Superior is definitely listed as one of the top, several threads here can attest to that. Check out these threads on the ratio as there have been many Q and A's with many different opinions on your last question.

Oh know. Not the discussion on 4.88 vs. 5.13 strength. Technically, yes 5.13 is weaker, but I cannot see that it would be that much weaker.

Superior is the only company I know with JK gears out right now.

wait for the alloy/precision gears. They will be out very soon. Right now only superior has JK gears and the results are mixed. Some are ok and some have problems.
