Default Flash Paq question

I see people on here talking about after reprogramming their jeep they are getting 16-18 miles per gallon with 3.5 in lift and 35's for the life of me i cant even get close to that 13-14 mpg... what am i doing wrong?? Its not like i expect it to be better and by no means did i expect good gas milage but if i can get better it would be nice lol

I have it on preformance 91octain(i have tried the economy gas saver setting and it was the same) tire size is set at 33(which according to my GPS is dead on for MPH) i am running 28 PSI in my tires...

thanx
matt

There are other considerations the biggest being MPH. Only time I ever got 17 MPG was doing 55 MPH towing a light utility trailer...that was with 4 people and two dogs. Running a SuperChip, 5.13, 37 Toyo's (heavy), 4" lift...most of the time it's just me and Blonda we do 75 MPH+ and we get 13 MPG.

Some Jeeps are just better than others.. its also driving habits.. I've learned a lot with my superchips traildash because I can see the realtime numbers. In fact a lot of times I'd be in 6th gear on the highway I get better millage in 5th.

Do you have an auto or 6-speed?

I get 16 on average with 35s, 4.11s running the 91 tune with my 08 Rubicon Unlimited.
But.. I've also gotten 12 when I'm not watching my foot.

no bull on this but on my light 2 door six speed with 4.88 and 37s double detroits in getting 17mpg. i have a 35 min cruise to work on highway interstate and backroads. easy on the gas no hurrys and the 87 octane im getting decent milage i had to program the speedo at 35.5 to get the right milage and speed. thats with wildpeak tires a heavy mt may not do so well

I know on my sportbike you can do all the engine mods u want but without a dyno tune you will never see good mpg. Even with added fuel modules
