Default TruTracs in my 2012

Thinking of putting TruTracs in my 2012. This is a daily driver that I do wheel mildly on the weekends. Will this make my auto transmission freak out or go into "limp mode" like I have read the auto lockers will? I have also heard auto lockers can be treacherous on wet or slick pavement. Any advice?

I don't think it will. I just ordered one for my rear on my 2013 JKU Sport. It's just a very good LSD. Many factory JKs come with LSD vs an open diff so I can't see it being a problem. It essentially operates like an open diff until you lose traction, than it transfers power to the non slipping wheel.

I only know what I know from reading threads so you may want to wait for others to chime in... From what I understand the problem 2012 have is with auto lockers in the rear... Auto lockers lock up every time it gets torque from the driveshaft... So you will constantly be locking and unlocking which confuses the 2012+ computer... A LSD as mentioned above is basically open until one wheel starts moving faster than the other by some threshold then it try's to redistribute power to both wheels

So since an LSD won't be constantly locking and unlocking it should not freak the computer out

truetracs front and rear here. mines a 2012! They work great and always there. Hope this helps.

By the way. You will have to have your trutrac holes drilled out to 1/2 to accept stock gears 1/2" ring gear bolts.

Just put one in my rear and it's like it's not there on the road. Haven't tested it offroad yet though. Make sure you get a good drill bit and a press. I found that a masonry bit works wonderfully.
