Well almost... About 9ish.. But yes, it holds that much, and securely. There is 4 drain holes you need to plug, and you can fill it up. Reason I say this I was looking at options for onboard fresh water for cleaning up ext. I was going to use Gerry cans, but I saw the hollow bumper as a waste if space so I gave it a shot! Next I am going to get a pump and hose and I'll have running pressurized water! Great for use as a expedition modded jeep! For rinsing off, shower, cooking, washing mud off windshields! Great thing to have!!

Not to sure if the bumper could be sanitized to use as drinking water too? Let me know what your guys thoughts are! Any pump ideas?

Thats great, you could always keep a length of hose and use the ol syphon technique

But then again if it has drain holes syphoning it into a bucket would be a waste of time, mabey a battery operated pump such as a water heater draining pump, im not sure if they come battery operated though

That is awesome. Can we get a better write up on this? I have been looking at the AEV bumper, but I would love to save some money!

I have this water pump for the outdoors.
Would that make "bumper water" potable?!

don't forget to drain it in the winter time lol. My guess is you could carry a water purifier for the chance that you would need to drink the water to survive ie desert type wheeling.

Cool! If you don't want to mess with a pump, could you put a radiator-type petcock in one of the drain holes?
