Default High steer knuckle / tie rod flip

Has anyone successfully flipped the tie rod onto the top of the arm yet? Are there plans for a knuckle with greater separation between the tie rod and drag link arms?

iI'd like to do this too, but I don't think there's enough clearance. Custom knuckles would be nice, but probably $$$.

One or two companies are doing the drag-link, but none that I know of have figured out a way to flip the tie-rod. I'll be doing this also, but I'm waiting a bit to see if anyone can come up with a drag-link & tie-rod combo.

BTW, if you flip the drag-link, you also have to move the trackbar to match the angle of the drag-link and avoid bump steer.

js.

That's fine. It's a custom 3-link front end in a TJ anyways.

Teraflex makes a driverside high steer knuckle for a TJ and it is only $350. Not a bad price at all. Just wish someone would do the same for the JK soon.

2 things. Why would you want to and why is this in the JK forum. A TJ & JK are not the same.

I want to get the tie rod up higher so that it doesn't hang so low and is less likely to hit anything on the trail

I have a JK front axle.

those are for the older ford/chevy/etc Dana 44's. They won't work on jk's.

I have the Rubicon Express high clearance drag link (not installed yet) and was thinking about doing the same thing. It appears to me that it could possibly be done with 3/4" rod ends and a custom bent tie rod made of DOM.
