I just put 35's on my jeep and I am wondering what kind I rear end do I need to get my torque back that I lost from the upgrade.

 

What gears are you currently running?

 

Unless you have an odd 07 jk then you have a d44 rear which should suit you fine for 35's (some 07's had d35's), . what you are probably thinking of to get power back is a regear (front and rear). Probably 4.56 or 4.88 would be good for you, but a little more elaboration on your jeep's specs, year and your driving/ wheeling habits would help get you some answers

 

I have a 12 3.6 and basically whenever it rains where I'm at in Texas I am mudding or just on the trails having fun

 

You can go with 4:10 and still have a good DD. Remember you have to do both front and rear axles. If you plan on bigger tires go with 4:56 or 4:88.

 

4.10 or 4.56 for a 2012.

 

I'm running 4.56's in my '12 auto and 34's. Very happy overall and still averaging 17 mpg.

Still need to know what model you have-Sport=Sahara=Rubicon? All depends on what gearing came with it?

Do you do any towing with it and is it more a Daily Driver than off road and trails?

Some people with the 12' and 3.73 and a auto and 35" get by just fine, all depends on your (real) needs?

 

The stock 3.21s suck. I have a 12 6 spd with 35s and I know the feeling. No torque. I'm saving for 4.88s

 

2012 JK auto. Since I was putting lockers in anyway I went ahead and swapped out my 3.73 for 4.10 at the same time-that way the labor was a freebie. Bought the 4.10s for $75 off a guy going to 4.88s. I'm running 35s and loving it!
