Default 2.5 / 3.5 spring height

So when I got my rubi there was some springs already on it. Years later I've decided to go bigger. I assume I had 2.5 springs.. They are not marked with a part #,mfg or anything. So I pulled the springs and matched them to the new 3.5 springs and there smaller !!! Just by a hair or so. But I installed them and the height looks a little taller?cant really tell. Totally lost. I decided to just run em since mine were junk anyways. I was thinking the spring rate would cause more lift v??
