Default Can I replace coils for longer ones?

Hi guys,

My setup currently consists of a 2.5 TF BB, JKS adj. track bar, RC adj. front lower control arms and 33" tires. I have a ARB bumper with winch and lights up front and the Jeep currently sits about 1" lower in the front then it does in the back.

Now I plan to get a full width rear bumper + tire carrier so I would guess the rear will sink at least 1/2" if not a bit more.

Can I replace my current springs and TF spacers and put in coils that would go in a 3" lift to get some of the lost height back? I would like it to be sitting at about 3" but obviously cannot put a leveling kit or any spacers on top of existing spacers.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll give a Stan a shout and see what he has.

Looks like a nice spacer but for that price I would rather move away from the spacers and get the full size coil that I need.

I have virtually the same setup as you do now and I just picked up some 3" TF coil springs to replace my factory JKU Sport springs and Coil spacer.

I am told by the guys at ORW, which is a reputable shop in here in SoCal, that there should be no issues assuming you do have the trackbars and LCAs adjusted properly and the shocks are tall enough.

That is good to hear jpone! makes me feel a bit better about the whole thing as well.

I spoke to Stan and looks like I will be going with the OME HD springs for the 2dr and remove my spacers.

I think so? Any ideas what the 3" TF coils settle out at? He recommended I go with the OME springs as they say 2" of lift but they found that it usually nets about 2.25-2.5". Ideally I would like to be at 3
