Default High Dive at Moab and the parking brake...

Watched a video posted by RockKrawler of a JK going down High Dive in Moab, the spotter told him about half way down to apply his parking break about 1/2 way. What's the reason for this? To keep the rear brakes holding and the front wheels free for when they drop off the edge they don't nose over?

Here is the video.. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater

Holy smokes. My seat would have a big wet spot on it if I felt the back end tipping up like that!

I use my e-brake for a few reasons:

-Keep the Jeep from moving too quickly forwards or backwards
-Use the rear axle as an "anchor"
-Help throttle control with my 6 speed JK

I assume it is for the above reasons.

So, yes in a way to stay from nosing over. Helps keep the Jeep from "running away" from you.

My e-brake hardly holds the Jeep. I wonder what kind of set up this jeep has.
