Default Ballistic Jesters?

So I've been considering "stripped" Jesters(leaving off the fake lugs and red inserts) for my JKUS and randomly came across a jk for sale locally that looked like it had them already installed.

Looking at them closely though, they look a little different from some of the ones I've seen in photos. Here are the local ones:

And here is a photo I found online:

Notice the difference where the fake lugs go? Looks like just a threaded hole on the photo, but there's a recessed section(with threaded hole inside) on the local wheels.

Anyone know if these are really the same wheel? And which one is maybe a newer version? I think I prefer the ones with the recessed section, but wasn't sure what's going on. Thanks!

Nobody? How about some help from those of you running Jesters? Which pic do your wheels match?

i just got these wheels and had the same question as you, although i went ahead and got them anyways without an answer. And well this is what i got when i open the boxes, so I assume this is the newer version.

Cool, thanks. What size, tires, and what jk do you have? Make sure you post up some pics with them mounted.

Nice. I was convinced I wanted 18's but after seeing that rig in person with 17's, I think I might go that route instead. Looking forward to your pics, not too many people have these wheels.

Mine look like your second picture. The shop that did mine is the largest aftermarket installer in the upper midwest and had never put these rims on another Jeep. Now they've put them on about 5 or 6 of them. Kind of irritated, but I guess that's what you get.

Thanks, I'm getting the impression that the first pic with the larger holes is an earlier run. Everything I can find since then appears to be the smaller holes. Too bad because I prefer the look of the larger openings.

Are you running hub rings? That's my only other concern. The few people who have these rims don't seem to have a problem but I'm nervous about vibration issues.
