Default Which size JKS Quicker Discos?

Hey everyone!

I'm currently sitting stock, but plan on picking up a set of JKS Quicker Disco's so I can wheel this thing stock for a while. Now I noticed that they come in two sizes: 0-2" of lift, and 2.5"-6" of lift. Now seeing as I'm stock, I'd obviously get the 0-2" model. However, seeing as I plan on lifting later this summer, would I be ok to run the 2.5-6" model while stock? I'd really prefer not to buy these twice.

Cheers

I would get the longer ones if you are planning on lifting it. I had both sizes but ran the shorter ones for almost 2 years before I lifted it. There's not enough thread in the short one for even a 2.5" lift.

Thanks, that's what Im leaning towards. Though will I be able to install it while I'm stock? Will it affect my drive?

Kichu,

You'll be fine running the longer ones until you get your lift kit. Just be sure to adjust them all the way down to their lowest setting. Your swaybar will just sit a little higher than it does now. It should have no effect on driveablilty.

We have the JKS Sway Bar Disconnects ready to ship out today. You also qualify for our JK-Forum discount, I'll send you the code over in a PM. The Disconnects also are eligible for free shipping since they are over $75.

Be sure to check your inbox for the code!

Ideally the sway bar ends should be parallel with the ground on level ground. I have heard 0 to 5 degrees upwards slant as optimal. I'm not sure how the driving feeling will be affected with the ends at a slight angle upwards. It will still function as a anti-sway bar. I would just make sure you disconnect before you take on any axle-twisting wheeling. Installation should be simple even on the stock jeep. My swaybar is pretty hard to move around even when disconnected, but you will just need to push it up to match the link length.

In case you were worried about the links being too long, take a look at this pic. They are longer because of the amount of suspension travel that jeep has, so that the links don't end up flipped onto the wrong side of the sway bar.

I've been running like this for over a year no problems. Works fine stock obviously and if the lift you get comes with longer links you can run it with the lift too. Costs ya $5 in parts. I personally think disconnects are a waste of money when you can just do this, but what ever floats your boat.
