Default XRC Rear Swing out tire Carrier

After hours of drilling and attempting to line the holes up, I finally managed to my rear xrc bumper mounted. I couldn't quite figure out what the instructions were trying to say concerning the part where the carrier mounts to the bumper. I tried following the write up here: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-w...carrier-91026/ but i still don't quite see the order of the parts that go on and how they work. I know it's a washer, the carrier, a washer, then some clip? But i dont understand how it all comes together. The instructions might as well be useless. I'm probably just going to give Smitty a call later and ask for some help, but I was going to see if anyone here could help first.

Thanks for the help,
MG2013

Is it for a 2 or 4 door? I had fitment issues with 2 door. Sent 3 bumpers and none fit then was told by smittybuilt they were having issues with 2 door. Just returned for refund. Also should be a no drill instal as Sid in instructions

It's a two door. The actual latch fits fine, and it slides over the post fine. My issue is i dont understand how the hinge of the carrier is secured to the post. I did have to widen 2 of the four holes in the middle of the jeep frame though.

My carrier keeps swinging open on the road unless i rope it up. The little lip on the latch receiver thats supposed to "lock" the handle into place gets worn down.
