Get a new tire, even if it was fixable. I wouldn't trust it

Take it to an old school dedicated tire place. If they are worth their salt they can give you the proper recommendation. My wife's Mini Cooper got a cut in the side wall I took it to a good tire shop and I told them I needed a new tire. They looked at it and said I did not need a new tire because they could put an inside patch and fix it with no problem. She put at least 20,000 more miles on it after that repair with no issues. Let an expert give you advice.

a mini copper loosing a tire at 70mph is different then a Jeep loosing a tire at 70mph..
pretty good getting 20K on it though..

I agree no way I'd trust it especially on a Jeep..

A slash all the way through the sidewall? That's why it was free. Get rid of it.

It's not worth the risk.

You get what you pay for. No such thing as a free lunch. Get a new tire. Not worth the effort or risk.

You can't fix a sidewall hole and expect it to last or be safe. Too much flexing for a patch and no belts for a plug.

For all intended purposes you have a free piece of trash that can't be thrown away in regular garbage.
