Default Painting coil springs.

Swapping out my X coil springs and shocks with a Rubicon equipment this weekend.

I'd like to paint the coils red. Recommended? If so what paint? Would the paint end up cracking from the spring movement?

Go powder coat or anodized. Cost a bit more but will def last much longer.

I thought of that. I don't want to drag this mod out. Prob end up just putting them in as is.

That's a lot of work to change the springs out, if you just paint them & it doesn't last.

How much work we talking here? I was told its easy. Like 1-2-3. Drop the axle and just replace the shock and spring.

I replaced my sport springs with rubicon ones and it wasn't that hard.

Just clean them up and hit them with a few coats of rustoleum. It will be easy to touch up down the road.

A customer of mine painted his with factory matched Mopar paint. As far as I know they are holding up great. Just prep them properly and you should be fine.

Just drop the shock one at a time right? Replace the coils and bolt back up? That's what I thought it was all about.

I did the same to my two door. All you have to do is disconnect the sway bar, unbolt the shock, unbolt the brake line holder in the wheel well pull out old spring and install new one. Then re-bolt everything back and torque to spec
