Interesting concept but looks a little dangerous with an exposed end like that...but that's just my

Installed those in my 2013 unlimited. Love them. Understand the fear by some but assuming you are wearing your seat belt and not rolling your jeep at speed on a regular basis they are not as big a hazard as you may think. Could you hit your head on them in a violent crash ? Perhaps, but they work well to assist the wife in a on her side and provide a stable secure place to grab on to when bouncing around off road.
Don't get them without the neoprene wraps but as I mentioned I am happy with them. They look good and they work as designed.
