Default Again tire/wheel and lift question

Hello to all.
I am new to posting but have read many threads,. I have two questions.
1. I want to run BFG T/A KM 265/75r16 on soft 8 rims 16x8 w/5" back spacing. Will I have any rubbing issues with a 2'' lif or without a 2" lift? How far out will my tires stick?

2. I am looking at the 2" lift by ome and rusty's. I want to use springs and shocks not blocks. I don't want to go any higher and don't plan on going any higher later on. I hear they are both good. Price difference. Are ome springs and shocks 300.00 better than rusty's ?
Thanks I know i am letting the worms out of the can. If anyone is running any of these tire and wheels or lifts I would like to hear your 2 cents.

Welcome to the Forum.

I doubt you will have any rubbing with those tires, even if you put them on the stock wheels. They're a tad shorter than the Rubi tires, and just a little wider.

I haven't heard anything about Rusty's kits, but I've heard nothing but good things from OME installs.

I have Rusty's and am as pleased as I could be. I did put new track bars on to center my axles and a $8 brakeline extension and front disco's. It still cost me less than the OME and the ride is great.

Is there a reason you didn't add the skyjacker 2.5 inch kit to your list?

It can be upgraded for a few hundred bucks more to inlcude upper and lower lines, and sway bar extensions. No idea what they'll acheive on a 2.5 inch lift, but maybe somebody else can chime in?

I dont think you will have any issues at all, even without a lift. I just purchased a set of slightly used soft 8's with 286/75/16 Dunlop Mud Rovers from a friend. He ran them for 2200miles on a 07 Unlimited with no lift. He had no rubbing issues whatsoever. No hard off roading though. He sold the set to me because he wants to go to 35's (with a lift of course). I am putting them on my 07 2dr soon. It already had chrome soft 8s on it when I purchased it used. However it only has 245 75 16s mounted. I am selling all of the chrome rims however and switching out to the black soft 8s. Good luck
