Default Anyone Running an 09 Unlimited JK on 35" Tires with a 2.5" Teraflex Coil Lift?

I called a local shop and I was told I couldn't run 35's on a 2.5" TF lift because of a problem with the rear tires. Has anyone run into a problem with this? I was certain I could run this set up. Information greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Well I have a unl 2011 and am running 35s with the TF 2.5 lift, and no issues here. I don't see what the difference would be but that doesn't sound right about the tires

They might be talking about the rear pinch seam rubbing your tires when your suspension is fully compressed. I run 35's on my 2010 JKU with the TF 2.5" coil lift. I did trim the pinch seam and and rubi rails to avoid this problem. You can run 35s and the lift without trimming the pinch seam on the road without a problem. Get the lift. I love it.

You need to figure out why they are saying this. 35s work with the 2.5" TF lift. It may be a backspacing issue with your wheels, or they might have the sway bar links installed incorrectly causing the tires to rub.

I have no problems with rubbing and didn't trim my pinch seam or rubi rail. You can also get upper and lower CA's and move your axle back a bit later.

You need wheel spacers with stock wheels

I had an 08 JKU with the 2.5 spacer lift and 35" tires and had no issues. When I traded it in for an 11 JKU I had the dealer swap the lift and tires over and I have zero issues. I did trim both the pinch seam and air dam on both. The only issue I had was with the tires. I had Wrangler MTR's originally and quite frankly I ended up getting over 50k miles out of them and still had over half the tread. I just didn't like the ride and lack of snow traction. I swapped them out and went to Duratracs instead. WOW!! I love those tires! And the ride feels better than stock!
My wife now wants the same lift on her 11 JKU.
