Default Best type of tape to use on soft top?

Yeah I know, weird ass question. Anyone know if there is a specific kind of tape/weather stripping that works really well on the soft top fabric?

Did you rip your top? If so you could use this stuff they sell at any fabric store or even a wall mart called stitch witch ...you lay this tape like stuff over the two pieces that are ripped and use an iron it has a glue that melts with the heat under the iron holding it together ..you might need to cut a thin strip of denim or canvas to place over two separated pieces to act as a bonder between the two .....comes in a roll and is pretty great stuff. If it is just to seal out water leaking in you may want to try a waterproof liquid that is brush on. I used this stuff called Fabsil(purchased off the internet from the UK) I purchased a while back on my soft top when I first got my 12 ...You brush on a coat of it let it dry and it completely water proofs the top . Water or anything that drops onto it comes right off but mostly water will not permeate the seals. The US must have a similar product that is used for camping ..tents etc for waterproofing.

That is an awesome response, thank you. Unfortunately it might not work for my application. I don't use a zipper on my rear window and the way that I keep in propped up leaves some small gaps that I would like to seal with tape from the inside. Since I remove my rear window a lot, its something that I need to easily remove which is why I was lookin for some kind of tape that will stick to the fabric and cover the gaps while it rains. regular duct tape doesn't adhere well.

Your welcome ......Maybe some velcro could be added around perimeter of window so it could be easily removed without zipper but still keeping the gap to a minimum ?
