Default RK 2.5 Lift Install In 2 Days

Do I need anything else prior to my install? I get back home in two days from military training and would like to start my install since I will be on leave. Thanks ahead of time!

-RK 2.5 Stock Mod System
-(2) RK 2" Front Bump Stops
-(2) RK 2" Rear Bump Stops
-(4) Bilstein 5100 Shocks
-(4) Crown 5 on 5 x 1.5" Wheel Spacers
-(4) Crown SS Brake Lines

I have been reading that people end up needing LCAs or at least the RC drop-bracket. Also does the rear track bar bracket need to be welded since it is supposed to be a "bolt-on" kit? I just want this to be a smooth install. Any specific tools needed?

also will be installing

-Dynomax Evolution Competition Exhaust
-New Soft Top Tinted Windows

The instructions says you should weld the rear TB bracket before you first take it offroad. For me I have seen too many horror stories of rear TB brackets shearing off due to the undo stress/leverage. Personally, I would get it welded.

Optional items:

1)Rear extended sway bar links.
2)Front adj lower control arms-you should drive your jeep first after the lift and judge for yourself if it is needed.

For me I had an unused set of TF front adj control arms.Drove the jeep a few hundred miles with the stock arms then installed the TF arms. Wow what a night & day difference in the driving and steering feel...

Awesome Sir' thank you for the advice, I will probably save up for the RK LCAs and drive it until then. Also should I not install the bracket yet and keep the rear in the stock location, how much is it typically to get it welded?

If the bracket is not installed your rear axle may be slightly off centered. Don't know if that would cause you any rubbing issues with your sway bar links or tires. You can temporarily run the bracket with it only bolted on for street driving without doing any hard flexing or driving over bumps too quickly. Depending on your area, a welder may charge you an hour or 45 mins time of his labor rate...

In my area it's $90 per hour....

I had an issue with the rear track bracket, one of the sides had pulled in when it was welded. Used a a C- clamp and my spare tire jack to straighten it back out.

We definitely recommend welding it prior to any off-roading adventures! Most of the bolt on ones we have seen are just fine on the street! But, that is not what we are all about!

Do not hesitate to give us a shout! We are here to help!

Thank you for the advice RK! I will definitely get it welded once I get back to Ohio and find someone trust worthy!
