Does this sound like bumpsteer? could use any advice
Little background........
2013 JKU sahara. Currently has 4600 miles on it.
Tires - Mickey Thompson MTZ 305/70/r16 (cold psi 31....hot psi 34)
2.5 Rough country springs and 2.2 shocks
Rear track bar relocator
AEV geometry brackets (lowest setting)
Quick discos for sways
Alignment was done afterwards...toe adjusted...castor at 5.5
There were issues with the adjustable track bar binding. The shop went back to a stock track bar and said it pretty well centered the axle (off by 1/8 inch).
I was having a lot of issues with the jeep wandering at lower speeds but since I lowered the tire PSI, a lot of it has stopped. Granted, the tires are pulling into the ruts more and get some pull, but nothing that is completely horrible under 55.
What I do notice are the following:
- Jeep is very sensitive to the wind and anything 15mph and up seems to push it a bit
- Going 60/65 and up, if I hit a bump, or specifically a change in the road (when the road goes from pavement to say an overpass where there is that little line across the road) the jeep will give a pull to the side and back....kinda like a jolt. A little more concerning at high speeds for me.
Possibly this is all normal and I am being overconcerned, but any suggestions? Shocks? do I need an adjustable track bar?
