Default Best Tire for NC.. from West to East

Which Tire would you say we be all around the best tire for NC and all her weather. Along with being able to go from Sand to Snow and Mud and In between

Cooper ATP
Nitto Trail
Nitto Terra
Dura Trac
KM2

Also consider Noise, and Longevity. Driven 10 miles round trip daily... but will be used for vacation

Very happy with my Cooper AT/3's. I live just north of Charlotte. Great on road, very good in mud, on moderate rock trails, and good in snow. Good price too on 315/70s....

I would go with the Duratracs off that list. KM2s are relatively quiet for an MT and last a long time also. For NC Id want an aggressive all terrain or MT either C or D rated. Mind you most of my time off road there was on bases and not 4x4 trails so I might be off in my thinking but most of what I saw was sand clay and mud.

Nitto Trails or KM2's are the only ones on your list with enough mud traction if you plan to offroad at all. For example, Uwharrie in the wet is impassable with all terrains. Duratracs are the best snow tire of the bunch, but outside of the higher mountains along the TN line, NC doesn't get enough snow for that to really factor in. However, my KM2's actually handled a 18" blizzard in the high country really well this year and kick ass compared to the rest of your list in the mud.

My vote is for Trail Grapplers a lot of construction guys run them on their trucks and also the progress energy trucks as well... on the Pickups they have... I dunno what they run on the bucket trucks all I know is there some big ass tires.

They also run Warn winches on their Trucks even the buckets
