Softest and best riding springs
In the process of upgrading a 2.5 inch RC coil suspension with adj front track bar and rear track bar relocation bracket. I want to get up higher especially after my winch and front and rear bumpers along with my hard top I don't feel like I'm any higher than stock lol. Anyways I want to go with a 3.5 inch lift. I will be buying piece by piece. I plan on keeping my adj track bar and extended stainless break lines along with my extended bump stops. Other than that I want some good soft 3.5 inch coils and not 3.5 that shrink to 2.5 with all my accessories. Also I plan on billstein 5100 and front lower adj control arms and front driveshaft. Anything else I'm missing??? Thanks
First, shocks influence ride softness much more than coils do.
Full Traction and OME coils are relatively soft.
With Full Traction coils (4" lift), Fox shocks, and D load-rated tires, my Jeep rides softer than stock.
Beyond those, there are more expensive options like the EVO bolt-on coilovers, Recon coilovers, or EIBACH. Out of these 3, I'd pick the EVO.
A very interesting system is the dual-rate coils by Metalcloak.
With their '6Pak' shocks, their system allows 14" of wheel travel with 3.5" lifting.

However... Full Traction or OME coils, with re-valveable shocks (so you can tweak the shocks to the exact softness you want), would be very satisfying.
Both Fox and King offer shocks that you can tune by just rotating a knob.
(If you go this way, don't be temped to make 'em too soft, or you'll frequently hit the bump stops.)

This is a self-contradicting request.
Regardless of which coils you choose, they will sag according to the weight you add to the Jeep. Measure the Jeeps' height with/without people in it, and you'll see the difference.
If you want a true 3.5", the only way is to start with 4", and get roughly 3~3.75", according to how much weight you added.
A coil that almost doesn't sag by added weight, would have a higher 'spring coefficient' = a harder coil. Such a coil would be quite unpleasant to ride.
It's either 'soft', or 'not shrink'.

I've been reading up on Rock Krawler and their progressive springs in front and linear in back. A lot guys seem to run them and are happy. The progressive from what I understand seem to give a softer ride. Also, EVO's plush as well.

I've heard a couple 2 door guys say RK's coils run on the stiffer side. I don't know if weight as to do with it but my jeep does ride on the firm side.
This was with Rancho 9000 shocks at their softest setting.

I've also been looking to upgrade my suspension from my 3.5 RC and have really considered EVO's 4" Plush Ride springs and I believe they offer Bilstein 5100s that are specifically valved for their springs to offer a great ride. If I could afford it, would be going with the coilovers but not quite ready for that jump just yet.
