Flushing the Radiator?
Hi guys,
Occasionally depending on the weather outside I have a local shop do my oil change. I have about 100k km on the Jeep now. They checked my rad and it's PH was about 6.5 I think and good to minus 26 or 36 celsius I want to say. I don't remember it exactly but they recommend I get a radiator flush. I generally do any work on the Jeep myself as shops usually charge you out the wazoo and can rarely trust them to do it properly.
Now would I benefit much from doing an actual flush of the rad with a shop and the machine? Or is this another selling trick to get you to spend more money instead of just dumping the coolant and refilling it ...

I agree, the shop is just looking to make a buck. Just empty the system, fill with water, run, refill with coolant! I also use water wetter or amsoil coolant treatment. I flush my rad annually
