Default Rock Krawler guys please help- 5.5 Mid Arm- Which shocks Fox or RRD????

So I am ordering the RK 5.5 Mid Arm kit now. I am looking at the Fox Shocks that Northridge has on their site (They are valved for the Tera kit but I will get the normally valved ones) and I am looking at the RRD shocks from Rock Krawler. I think it would probably be a more well rounded kit since RK has their own valving with the RRD's, but I cant find many reviews of guys running them to see how they ride on road. I went to Fox's website to make sure the extended length of their shock matches what RK needs for the 5.5 Mid Arm, and couldnt find that either.

Do any of the RK guys running the 3.5 or 5.5 have any experience with either of these two shocks? The Bilsteins are out simply because they are too short (Per RK). Thanks in advance.

These are the Fox's

I see that problem a lot with guys running Bilstiens with the RK kit, shocks arent long enough. So your running the Fox's now, would you say the ride is firm on road or how would you describe it?

Well mine being the wrong length of shocks it's stiff. But when I was in my friends jeep it was nice and smooth not stiff and bumpy like mine.

Ive been running RKs 5.5'' Triple Threat lift with the RRD shocks for about two years now. The ride is awesome off road. The one problem I had was with one of my rear shocks. It started leaking after a year. I called up RK, they had me send in the shock and rebuilt it for me for free.

Thats part of the reason I am going with them, excellent customer service (I have called them 3 times in the last 2 weeks). How is your ride on road with the RRD's?

I think the ride on road is a lot smoother than the rancho shocks i had. I dont have any complaints about them. You can call RK and have them custom valve your shocks if you want a smoother ride.
