I have decided to do these.

What ballasts and harnesses will be best for the 2012 JK sport 2dr yadayadayadaya?

Bow difficult will it be to wire these suckas?

4WD has a deal on Truck Lite LED head lights right now. I would spend a couple more bucks and get them over the $250 DIY HID's.

I got the V V M E off eBay. They are an AC kit that you wire to your battery so they don't flicker

HID's are garbage and unfair to other motorists. Save yourself and other drivers a ton of aggravation and get yourself the TL leds

I almost pulled the trigger on the TL's but the biggest issue is where I live. The LEDs don't get hot enough to melt snow.

Do people really count on their lights to melt snow? If that is the biggest concern, maybe a little resistive heater strip below the light would cure it. Absent that, be sure to get a real HID retrofit with projectors so you don't blind people.

We don't get much of that snow where I live.

I have HIDs from a company called turnagain i got 6000k they are bright and pretty easy to install your self , some minor drilling is involved jus to mount the ballast but nothing drastic, the best part is that they are lifetime warranty. Just another option for you to think about

When you are driving in the winter, you would hope that the lights would be warm enough to keep the snow build up off of them. I am not keen to spend $500 on something I have to keep stopping in inclement weather to clean off build up in order to see safely down the road.
