Default Got one.

Picked up my 07' Sahara Unlimited today. I feel like I got a decent deal ($25K OTD), but regardless, the mod bug has bitten. I pulled into the garage, and it looks like 2-2.5" BB is about all I can clear, with a set of 33's (+ or -). I've settled on the new Rough Country 2.5" BB since my cousin is about to marry the owner's daughter. Plus $139.00 complete doesn't suck either, with shock adapters and all. 2.5" lift in the front, 2" lift in the rear.

I am literally banging my head against the desk about a wheel/tire combo. I'm trying to keep it cost effective, but I don't want to cheap out on the tires either. My Sahara has the 18's, and that puts any tire in the $300/piece range (unless I am missing something). Add $50/cornerX5 for spacers, and that is a chunk of change. Seems almost cheaper to pick up a set of 16" or 17" Mickey Classic II's and tires. Right now my favorite tire is the Mickey MTZ. Anyway, I need some suggestions. I hate the BFG A/T, so that is out, but the Cepek FCII ain't bad. What do your recommend so I can avoid that $300/tire cost???? This is my daily driver, I've got the 4.10's/automatic, and it is a soft top so the noise of a Swamper won't work either.

Hehhh Heh,
Welcome to the money pit. To answer your tire question I've always liked the Toyo Open County M/T's, they won't run you 3 bills but they can be a bit pricey. It's a great tire on the street, will last a while and it can handle off-road pretty well. Tires are very personable...everybody kinda has their own taste so I'm sure your gonna get a lot of recommendations in this thread.

Good Luck

Cool

congrats on your Jeep, as far as tires go i went with Mudstars which are made by Nanking, dealer told me about them and they are a great, and a pretty quiet mud tire-- 4 mounted and balanced ran me just over $500 which is hard to beat -- you can see them by clicking the links in my sig. --- 265/70R16 they have the same tread pattern as Buckshots

Tried that angle, got the "well it is on sale right now...." I'm ok with it though, $139 for a complete BB isn't bad. The comparable Teraflex kit is $225!
