Default Right way to measure control arms?

Hello all,

What is the proper way to measure adjustable control arms from center eye to eye? I have TF adj lower control arms, do I measure it from the OUTER or INNER part of the bend? Thanks in advance.

Yes, center to center. Because the arms are at an offset, does it really matter if I measure center to center from the inner or outer part of the arms? I would think the outer would be longer than the inner? Your recommendations? Thanks again...

They are the same if you measure center to center. The only reason it would be longer is if your tape measure follows the contour of the arm. Your pictures are labeled backwards too. The elbows go inboard.

Just remember you can measure your arms and put them in place, but go by the pinion angle for final install, not just a set measurement for the arms. Personally I don't ever measure control arms because in the end it doesn't matter as it's all based on the pinion angle and if I'm installing them correctly, they'll be the same length in the end whatever that length that may be. If that makes sense lol

I see lots of people going by certain numbers as per instructions and then wondering why they still get a vibration etc and it's because they aren't factoring in the pinion angle (when using aftermarket driveshafts). Stock driveshafts don't matter as much as they wont vibrate no matter the angle, but they should still be set so they don't bind and have a better drive height angle.

I guess what im asking is if the castor and pinion angles are good and the jeep drives straight, does it matter if the driver and passenger side arms measure totally different? 1/4-1/2 inch off?
