Default Rugged Ridge I'm mad at YOU!!!!!

So I got my RR Full snorkel kit from the nice man in Brown around 5 pm. So I said what the heak I'm an experienced aircraft mechanic and auto mechanic I'm going to do it tonight..

So I started it got an hour into it ate dinner everything was going great. Then..... My dremel tool craped out on me so I ran to the store to get a actual cutoff wheel no biggie...

Then I got to step 69/70 and RR skewed me!! The M8 Hardware was too short to go through the lower air-box through the grommets and to the underside of the fender!! I even tried trimming the grommets and forcing the nuts and bots to meet but its just too short!!

So I Had to leave my Jeep Apart... I'm going to fasenal or home depot tomorrow to pick up some longer bolts.. I know its like $5 bucks for a couple of bolts but that pisses me off. I could have been done with the install if they didn't drop the ball and put some stubby bolts in the box.

Here is what it looks like as of now

Thanks man.. I know we have all ben there on an install. As much as we work on our Jeeps something is bound to go wrong eventually.. It just kills me that I was already out getting a cutoff wheel I could have easily picked up the bolts at the same time... I just wasn't expecting them to throw in the wrong bolts. Oh well C'est la vie. Pourquoi moi Ruggied Ridge

If you paint it, people will think you have an accident. They all are grey on the inside. Or was that pink?

Anyway, I had the same exact issue and just left those screws unbolted from the fender. When joined together the air box top and bottom, it was well out of the way of the pulley area and I've not hooked them up even afterward. I put those bolts in, silicone the gaps, No problem so far.

That sucks but step #1 for me is to always check the hardware before taking anything apart. They list out all of the kit contents on the first page.
