Default 33" Duratrac + Pintler + TF 2.5

Hey guys,

I am hoping you can all help me out with a pretty straight-forward question. I have forum searched and have found somewhat conflicting information, and often times similar questions but with the 35" rather than 33" Duratrac tire.

I am running a 2.5" Teraflex lift with spidertrax spacers and stock Rubicon 17" wheels and tires. It's time to replace my stock wheels and tires, and I am looking into a LT285/70R17D1 121Q W Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac on 17" AEV Pintler wheels.

My questions basically are:

1) Will they fit alright?

I have to run those 1.5" wheel spacers with my Teraflex lift kit to run the stock Rubi wheels, and if I am going to drop this kind of dough on a new set of pintlers, they will HAVE to be able to run without rubbing against the suspension with the Teraflex lift on. I want to get rid of the extra set of bolts on each axle for added peace of mind.

2) Will the AEV Pintlers + 33" Duratracs fit without the need for wheels spacers WITHOUT rubbing the suspension of the 2.5" TF kit?

I hope someone can speak to these questions from personal experience, it seems like both these wheels and tires are popular and hopefully someone should know for certain.

Thanks guys!

I ran 33 duratracs pintlers (no spacers) and aev 2" bb on my 1st jeep without issue. 2.5 tf lift will give you plenty room ( i ran that lift as well when i tossed the pucks). i also ran 35 km2's with the 2.5 tf lift (4dr version) without issue.

Thanks for the reply!

I guess I am a little more concerned about the wheels fitting on with the lift. I know the Teraflex lift calls for a wheel with a backspacing of 4.5 or less, and I don't know how well the AEV pintlers will fit that guideline.
