Default Rubicon JKU shocks and springs upgrade

I recently purchased a set of shocks and springs from a 2013 Rubicon JKU. 18 front and 60 back. I'll be installing them on my 2011 2dr sport. Are there any problems that I should be aware of before installing. I noticed the TF leveling kit includes longer sway bar links for a 1.5" lift, would they be an issue with the rubicon spring lift? Also do you think I'll still have the factory rake? Should I buy 1/2" spacers for the front to correct or do you think the rubicon springs and shocks will make it look better.

I appreciate the advice.

no need for longer links. You will probably still have the factory rake unelss you add a spacer up front. It is a straight forward install easy as can be.

Easy job. I added the teraflex leveling kit and it got rid of the rake. Took about three hours for leveling kit, shocks, and coils swap,

I was actually thinking about getting the teraflex leveling kit and doing it all at the same time. How much lift did you get from everything? Did you have to adjust the steering or get alignment?

I'm curious as to the attraction to Rubicon springs and shocks as I pulled mine when the jeep was young and put a 3.5" lift on it. Not a slam...are they really better than the setup on a Sport or Sahara?

Just a little info from what I am seeing on mine.

I have 18/60's on my JKUR and have about 1.5" of rake with the hardtop off (wish it had come with 19's up front). I never measured with the hardtop on.

How this translates to your 2 door idk. But I'm guessing you'll want some size of puck up front if you don't want the rake.

With that in you might also need longer links. But a set of quick discos would be a good thing anyway

Just 2 pennies.

I'm thinking I'll just do the rubicon shocks and springs for now and use a spacer upfront to level. Do you have a idea of what size spacer I should use. Everything is stock except for 33" Duratracs on MT3's 17x9. Should I wait to torque everything down until I get in on the floor? Not while it's on the lift. Binding issues? Just want to make sure I do everything right. Thought about taking it to a garage to install but I'm not sure they would put the care into it that I will.

springs are the same depending on spring part numbers but shocks are much better on Rubicons then on sports. Springs on sports can be better then on rubicons and vice versa just a crap shoot. I have seen rubicons with light springs and sports with heavy springs. my unlimited sport came with 18 fronts and 58 rears.

The Rubi shocks are about 1" longer from what I have read, but they are way better than the standard shock found on the Sport / X. The attraction for this swap is that you can get a 1.5-2" lift on the cheap since take off springs and shocks are plentiful. I bought 18/59 springs and Rubi shocks for $100. I am replacing 14/55 springs and expect about 2" of lift.
