Does it have a relay? It's one thing I recommend you use.

I installed my 540 using all new switch, wire and relay and kept the original harness in the box. I felt it was a lot easier than trying to make the harness fit through holes and going to the Daystar panel in the central console.

You can cut the switch off and wire to a day star I did it. The floating wire I think it's white with red stripes I did a fuse tap for it. It's just power for the switch and the day star needs it. And the three wires going in the PIAA switch will match up with the day star. I have a thread made and you can look it it to see what wires go to what wires.

The fuse tap you can buy in an auto parts store. It an accessory specially designed to plug in a fuse space. It keeps protecting that circuit but also takes power for the lights. There are different sizes so make sure to see the model your Jeep uses to get the right size.

If your lights' harness does not have fuse protection you should also buy a fuse holder for it and install right after the fuse tap you bought.

Yes, you can easily cut off the included switch and go with a rocker. As far as power, use the included wire tap. The passenger side marker light is easy to access. Just wrap the connection with electrical tape.
