I'm considering 33" inch tires (Nitto Terra Grappler - 295 70R 17) on AEV Pintlers which have a backspacing of 4.7"

1) With the TF 2.5" BB would I need any additional mods to avoid rubbing

2) Will this set up fit on the OE spare carrier without modification

3) Will this setup (BS) push the tires out beyond the OE fender flairs ( an issue of legality here in Rhode Island)

Others will probably know better than I, but based on what I've read as I've looked at this same set up you should be good on all accountrs.

1. It should not rub, the back spacing is where TF reccomends it to be.
2. spare may be tight, but should fit, I've seen others with 33's on there.
3. you should not stick out, but will probably be right near the edge

 

I don't think that size tire is up to 33 inches. Even with 33's it would not rub but not sure about the backspacing on the spare mount.
