Post RC lift question....
Installed a 2.5" RC spacer lift a couple months ago along with 18/59 springs and Rubi shocks.
I have noticed a slight clunk noise up front when hitting a depressed manhole or expansion joint at speed. To troubleshoot, I had an adj. RC front track bar which I swapped back to the factory bar to isolate that. Still have the noise.
I realize I have stiffer springs that are slightly 'compressed' with the spacers, but is there anything that is obvious that I should target next? I have checked tightness on the shocks and the seem okay.
I don't recall hearing this noise before the lift was installed.
Any thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
BTW, I am running 33" BFG AT's at 35psi.

It seems to be on impact which would be compression. I did not think extended bump stops would be required...
I guess I could go a quick route to test and glue a hockey puck at the bottom of the spring. That could verify it pretty quickly I suppose.
Thanks!

My Jk started doing this after I added 1" spacers to my 2.5" coils. I'm pretty sure extended bump stops are needed since you have the extra height of the higher rated coils along with spacers.
But I haven't debunked this myself so I'm not sure.

I had this set up and after install was also hearing the clunk over abrupt bumps and washboard. What I found was that tie rod was coming into contact with the bolts on the center bracket for steering stabs.I rotated the bracket further back, thus increasing the distance between the tie rod and the bracket and no more clunk! See if you can twist the tie rod up and down and see if it is hitting anything.
Just a thought.....
Do you have the RC Dual steering stabilizer set up?

I really don't think an extended bumpstop could be the issue. I do not have any issue with the 33 hitting the inside of the fender.
I will look at the tie rod and see if it is contacting anything. Last resort is to have the delaership have a quick look at all fasteners and make sure everything is within spec.
Could the control arms fasteners need to be loosened and re-tightened? I read where that cured someone else's issue...
Not running the dual stabilizer. Still using the stock single.
