I was looking at the 3rd rows for our jk. I can't wrap it around my head to spend $250 on a bracket and then try and find a 2dr wrangler rear seat to put back there. The width between the fender and sub is aprox 37". The cj7 rear seat is 35". Has anyone put a fold and tumble cj7 seat in the back of their jk and would it work?

 

am i taking that as a "NO"

 

I haven't seen anyone do that. But it is a jeep and where there's a will there's a way.

 

I was thinking about doing this... or maybe the one from a YJ. My YJ is in the middle of being rebuilt so it makes sense to snag the one of it and give it a try... So has anyone else tried it yet?

 

Interesting question. I can't find an 07 or >2 door seat for under 500....add in the TF bracket. Heck may as well pony up the 900 for a lilseat. All the vendors have pre JK seats it seems, why no updates in the last 7+ years to the after market back seats. (Rant off, subscribed )

 

was reading, someone used Bestop® 39439-15 TrailMax II Fold and Tumble Black Denim Vinyl with Fabric Insert Rear Bench Seat for 97-06 Wrangler as a 3rd row. They come with all the mounts and hardware, you just need to drill/fab up where to mount as obviously the holes don't line up. I may go this route. Now to find the thread about seat belts I found but neglected to Sub too. Think someone used Corbin 4 pts, and said where they connected them too. I don't have a sub to worry about, think this seat is ...35" wide, a bit wider then the CJ versions. We have 41" to work with (as a 3rd row), I'm ok with a 3" gap on either side of the seat...my kids drop stuff constantly, will help them self recover it
