Default Smittybilt oversized tire carrier

Has anyone out a 35 mud grappler on smittybilt tire carrier that mounts to the tailgate? Lookin for some feedback. I've heard good things. Thanks

I have 35 inch trail grapplers and I'm using the smittybilt oversized tire carrier installation wasn't very hard and it works very well.

I don't think he is talking about an actual bumper/tire carrier he is talking about the tire carrier that replaces oem tire carrier

I had it with a 37" Bfg Mud Terrain. The tail gate started rattling due to the weight. Switched to a Teraflex since.

It's just the attachment to the tailgate piece not the whole bumper deal.

I have it for my 35" Mud Country's and it's very stout...been on there for about a year now too!

I have this on my 4-Dr with 37s. Not ideal, but I spent the $$$ on the lift, suspension. Anyway, I recommend using this MBRP reinforcement kit with the Smitty carrier

MBRP Part mbr130903 - Spare Tire Bracket Reinforcing Kit

These plates fit inside the tailgate and disperse the rebound weight on the sheet metal. Since the 37" sits ON the stock bumper, the weight of the tire hasn't caused any tailgate issues. Almost Zero bounce with 37" MTR Kevs
