Default Homemade fast-back hardtop!!

I was hit by a snow plow over the winter, Lr window and Lr pillar is smashed out. Gonna have to fix it and replace the window.

So I was thinking to just cut it down like a fastback (wild boar) and using fiberglass seal it back up!!

Any thoughts??

Cut the hard top and do a custom soft top.

That will be a tough repair unless whoever fixes it is very proficient in fiberglass work..

I think I could do it fairly easily. Would use my soft top NX for reference.

one thing i always disliked about jk owners is how they think diy work will always go wrong and they'd rather buy something then try to create it

A college friend of mine rolled his Grand Cherokee off roading and ended up chopping the back section off and had a custom soft top made for it like the old amigo. It was awesome. I say go for it.

Try it out or you'll never know. Did you get insurance to cut a check for a new top?
