Default New owner question about soft doors

I pick up my first Wrangler in 2 weeks and have been researching soft doors to put on in the event of rain. I purchased the upgraded soft top and have not found soft doors to match. Any suggestions?

I installed Bestop 2-piece soft doors a couple week ago. They don't seal very well and the upper window frame flutters at highway speed, it's worse when it's windy. I go door less most of the summer, so the main reason for soft doors is in a sudden rain when I am out and about. The doors store well in the back. They serve the purpose I bought them for just fine.

X 2. I believe Bestop is the only company making them and to my knowledge, they don't offer them in the new fabric yet. Good luck with the new jeep.

I no longer have them with our latest 2013 JKU, but with our 2010, we had them and had the exact same results as MikeRM mentioned above.

They store well and are great in a pinch, but still expect fairly massive leaks into the cab of your jeep. I left mine parked at work during a daytime rain storm a while back and came back out at the end of the day to find about 2 1/2" of rainwater in the floorboards.

Now, with that in mind, I'd still buy them again (and they'd be a quicker purchase if they were about $200-300 less for the full set of 4 doors).

When you say you've purchased an upgraded soft top and the soft doors don't match, are you referring to the khaki diamond (grey) colored soft top? I have the bestop full soft doors and a black soft top that needs to be changed. My boss is about to sell her jk with a hard top and give me her new in the box grey soft top and windows for nothing. Since I really need a new soft top im probably not going to let the color clash bother me, but im interested to see how it would look with black doors and a grey top.

Also, there are ways to prevent the soft doors from fluttering on high way speeds and coming apart from the top of the door rail. Its all in how you position in the upper with the adjustment colloars and how much you bend the uppers towards the vehicle. There are small things you can do to improve them even though you should due to the price tag.

I believe he is referring to the new tweed top. It's a different texture than the old top and soft doors.
