Default shock questions and opinions

So I recently moved to a more "countryish" area and I am driving on more dirt than before. lots of dirt roads with washboards. I have 4" EVO Plush Ride Coils with MetalCloak Arms. Bilstein 5100's. I am fairly pleased with this setup on road. drives and feels better than stock. but once I hit those washboards I feel like everything wants to fall apart. If I drive a bit faster it's not too bad. I have to believe its my shocks that could make an improvement. any suggestions of shocks? any experience with driving on washboard roads a lot with a particular shock you like?

I have the Fox 2.0 IFP and am pleased with the on and offroad driving. They run about $130 each.

The fox shocks aren't going to help out that rough ride.. I have 4"s rough country arms. Same springs and fox shocks. I get the same effect on washboard. I do in fact need a draglink flip kit though. Check in with Evo they have king shocks matched to the plush ride coils. That may be your best bet. If you want to match fox 2.0s you would have to get the linear rate of the spring which I heard Evo won't do and match it to the fox shock.

what tire pressure are you running? Lowering the tire pressure will do more to help with the ride over a wash board dirt road then changing the shocks. Its not very practical to air down to just drive down a dirt road but it will provide you with a better ride.

We have to drive about 5 miles of wash board road to get to the trail head. We always stop and air down to 10-12 psi which makes the road a lot smoother. Not really practical for you to air down that low maybe see how 20-24 psi works out. Not sure how much highway driving or highspeed driving you do since this would play into your decision as well.

I have the TF tuned fox 2.0's. I don't know the truth to this but. I've heard the TF tuned and BDS tunes fox shocks are valved great for the JK.
my shocks do great over washboards, better then my previous Rancho 9000's
