Hello everybody.


I need some help.
Can i use this MOPAR engine oil for my 2011 2.8crd jk?

I am going to say you cannot use that oil in your crd.
The oil you show is for spark ignition engines, (the S in SN, on the API label ).
You need oil for compression ignition engines. It would be Cx, with the latest version's letter being where I put the x.

Look in the owner's manual for the exact oil rating and viscosity. If you don't have an owner's manual download one from the Jeep website.
You may find the correct oil shown on the oil fill cap, too.

Thanks alot!

But i have read in my owners manual that i have to use 5w30 (C3).

5w30 sounds light for a diesel. Just about all the ones i can think of run 15w40 or 5w40 full synth.

You must have the crd with the particulate filter, then.

You still can't use the oil you pictured in the first post because it's not for compression ignition (diesel) engines.
