Default Upgrade axle shafts with lift??????

Ok I'm almost ready to put the 3" FT lift, drive shafts, 5.13 gears and I'll use it thoroughly hear in Wisc. and out in Colorado. My build budget is about tapped for this year but I'm wondering if the front axle shafts (yokes, u-joints) are going to hold up to this setup and the auto tranny. Shafts and lockers are in the plans for stage 3 next year. I just don't want to be breaking crap all the time because I tried to wait on them. I know I'm going to have to be smooth and easy on the skinny pedal and really plan my line. Knock on wood I've always been the guy to help out I don't want to be the cause of a delay on the trips. Just wondering if I should be throwing them on the card and be done with it. Just hate charging stuff I can't pay for right away. Thanks in advance.

Personally I would install gears lockers and shafts all at the same time. I would think you would be just fine for now with what you are planning, but gears are very expensive to have someone set up, and the axle shafts need to be pulled to do gears as well. You would save quite a bit on labor just waiting until you can afford to do all the items on your axle at one time.

I've got a buddy that does the gears for all the racers around here and I've done quite bit of exhaust, furnace/ac work in his shop so we've worked out a trade on the setups, so cost isn't really an issue I just don't want to be blowing them up on the trail. I've got th 44rear and the 30 up front with the factory 4.10's
