I'm adding a 33" tire on my spare as well as a high lift, a vector off road rack with 2 rotopax cans. Will my tailgate be ok? I'm planning on the teraflex hinge later. But want the rack this summer for extra gas and backup lighting.

It depends on the overall weight of the entire setup. Chrysler suggests (with the bike rack added to the spare) the tailgate to hold a max payload of 75lbs, and only for short periods of time. It sounds like you'll be above that weight limit for sure. I suggest the TF HD Hinge as your first purchase, it's easier to prevent damage than to pay to have it repaired.

I had a 33 duratrac mounted on a 18" rockstar and that alone wore out my hinge. I now have about 1/8" of play on both the upper and lower hinge.

FYI a 48" Hi-Lift weighs around 30 lbs and gas weighs in around 6 lbs at per gallon....plus the weight of the container.
