I am doing this tomorrow on my day off so I need feedback ASAP

So I am replacing my inner axle seals tomorrow and installing Nitro Axle Sleeves. To me it makes more sense to hammer in the sleeves before pressing in the new seals to prevent damage to the new ones. I spoke with a guy at the local 4x4 shop and he was saying do the opposite and make sure I press the new seals in first.

Am I crazy thinking to do the sleeves first or should I press the new seals in before hammering away?

Thanks in advance you guys always help me out.

Jamie

I really can't see where it would matter either way. Since you're pressing them in from the carrier side, I guess I'd put sleeves in first and after removing the old seals, you'll have an opportunity to clean any debris out that the sleeves may have pushed in before installing the new seals.

Ya I would say do sleeves first so you can clean out any residue that the sleeves push out
