Default What is that bar? help!

Does anyone know what the name of the bar thats generally seen coming out of a trailer hitch that protects the tire carrier if you were to drop off of a steep ledge? I've seen them in videos but cant even find a picture on google. (Although im not sure the correct name) Its like an off road trailer hitch roller.
Are these all hand made?

Thanks

Kinda like this? (But wider and looks like a backward stinger with a plate) Or the Roller style?

No roller, Its a bar that is about a foot long and beds up toward the tire on the carrier. ( Keeps you from bending your tire up, basically sliding on the bar if you go off a ledge)

try searching for "hitch receiver stinger"

it looks like most of them are custom made, although smittybilt makes one as well. the downside is that you need to remove them to access the tailgate.

shouldn't be too difficult or expensive to take an extra hitch w/out the ball into a welding shop and have them fabricate something for you.

here's a pic of the smittybilt...

I made a similar piece for my hitch but supports my 35" spare on my stock tire carrier. Works well for this as well!
