Default Fender trimming

Has anyone trimmed the stock fenders for more clearance? I was thinking of hacking them up to perhaps fit 35's.

I like the way the fronts are trimmed on the skunkworks jeep. Would love to know the procedure behind that. I'm not so worried about cutting the flenders as much as the underlying structure.

That's what I'm trying to avoid. I've read that you can run 35's with flat fenders. I was wondering if we could just mod our stock fenders.

tube fenders would work, but then again you'd have to fab your own, or wait until hell feezes over for the aftermarket to snap into action. I saw a post on this forum once of a guy running 37's without rubbing, after just removing the flares. And Rev111 had their jeep on a 2.5 inch bb that cleared 37's with their tube fenders....course they went out of business before selling any.

Just go the BB route. The stock wheel openings are plenty large enough for 35" and you'll be glad you have the extra ground clearance.
