So I'm thinking about getting the end caps. I wanted to go for the bull bar over the stock stubby look. How does everyone feel about the stock stubby?

I had VDP end caps on my old OE bumper, I thought they looked great. Nice alternative if you don't want the added cost or weight of a steel after market bumper.

I like the look.

But I'll tell ya they don't hold up well if you are gonna do any heavy wheeling.

2X I have seen them look good. But as soon as you start playing on the rocks they seem to get nocked off.

The JK is pretty gutless (came from a heavily modded Mitsu Evo) so I didnt want to add the weight of an aftermarket steel bumper - I dig the stubby... and for the price, if I do tear it off, I can afford to replace it.

I chopped my stocker. I'm pretty happy with it. I really don't care for the end caps myself but the time and effort molding the ends was tough and took FOREVER.

I found out you can shoot one of these end caps about 40 feet through the air by simply hitting a deer at 40 MPH. Next time I'm trying for a new record at 45 feet.
However, once I found the end cap in the ditch I popped it back on with some new fasteners and it looks good as new. They are really thick and seem to be well made. The fit is good.
