Default Eliminating the rake in my lift (shorter coils in the rear?)

I recently installed a 3" BDS lift along with 315/70/R17s Duratracs on my 2012 Sport. I ended up with almost exactly 4" of lift as measured from the ground to the front and rear pinch seams (17" to 21" front, 18.5" to 22" rear) which still left me with the factory rake. I do have a front and rear bumper along with a winch. It's been a few weeks, so I am pretty sure that the lift is settled.

I want it leveled, but I don't really want to raise the front anymore, so I am thinking of trying to cut the amount of lift in the rear.

I am am thinking about purchasing a set of 2" rear springs to swap in to the lift. I do realize that I might need to trim the rear pinch seam, but other than that, will there be any issues with the length of the shocks or other issues I might not be thinking about?

You can see the rake on the attached picture.

I had that exact lift in my sahara, it settled down a bit in the rear after about 5000km. Did you get the BDS shocks as well? It's what I had and was very impressed. I just picked up a 2 door so now the mods begin again lol.

I do have the shocks, and I can't tell the difference between the stock ride, so no complaints. Not sure if I can wait a year for settling, and 1 1/2 is a lot of settling.

It's the factory spacer in the rear that the shock rests on. Let me know how u make out that kit is awesome!

A fairly inexpensive solution until the rear settles (if it does) would be to install a 1" spacer in the front. I hope it all works out for you.

Well the winch in the front may be causing some of that (if it's in the front), you could always slap a metal bumper and tire carrier on the back, that would probably even it out

I honestly don't think it looks bad the way it is. I definitely wouldn't cut the rear springs.

I'm with Ryan. It looks good to me and If you really wanted to I would just add a 1" spacer in the front.

Looks great to me. I wouldn't fool with it since the winch is already on. If it sit like that with no winch then when installed it might be a little more noticeable, but loaded down it want sit nose up! That looks ridiculous. An inch of rake looks great in my opinion

This is a pic of my 2013 rubi. I'm running the BDS 3" with Fox shocks. It's been on for a while now. I still have the factory rake. I like it. Even though no one buys a jeep for gas mileage you are not doing yourself any favors but making it more like a wind sail. Having said that it all depends what you like the look of. I wouldn't run spacers. Spacers are ok for a time. But spacers will ride different. They preload the coil and cause issues over the long haul. Don't swap the rear springs out either. You paid for the lift don't turn back now on it. Granted I don't run a winch but if I did I would throw a rear bumper on to compensate for some of that rake. To each his own.
