Default making a stubby bumper from the stock one, good or bad idea?

was thinking about cutting my stock bumper down to a stubby. have seen it a few times and don't think it looks all that bad. love the lookof the stubby but don't have the extra cash right now to throw down on a new one. so has any one down this and if so what do yall think. any how to tips would be great not a lot of info I could find on were to cut or how much you can or cant take off.

Projectjk.com has a write up on how to do this. Its very easy all you need is a sawzall, grinder and some black paint.

Agreed. It's an easy low-risk low-cost mod. The only other shorty alternative is buying a new bumper, so even if you don't like it you're out less than $100!

I would look at VDP or Rough Country caps for edges of bumper. Gives a nice finished look.

Before you spend the cash on bumper ends, you may want to consider making your own from your existing bumper. Just chop the ends out and move them in, you can use Christmas tree plugs to secure them. I had it like that for a while until I got another bumper. I am sure someone has a write up in doing that.

first thing I did when I bought it, just used a sawzall and started cutting really hated the way the long bumper looked. A buddy of mine had the caps, not sure where he got them.
