Default Body Bolts

Does anyone know where I can get some replacements maybe 1/4" longer? Size even? Got new rocksliders "designed" to be installed with the stock but they are too short and just barely grab - two stripped out when I was torquing them at just 40lbs - saw the tips were just barely grabbing.

Thanks for any advice.

Take yours to the hardware store to get a matching size, maybe 1" longer, and a big heavy duty washer. Or, call a company that sells 1" body lifts and get longer bolts from them.

Thanks Planman - I called one of the companies earlier and asked for just the bolts but they advised that theirs (and most others) require you to rep,ace the nuts too and I just want to try using the stock nuts rather than tearing the entire body apart to get to them.

I called two of my local hardware stores looking for Grade 8 and they said they could order so I was hoping someone knew the proper size that I could "plus up".

I've spent hours online at OEM part sites and while I found the bolts, they didn't say the size that they are.

Frustrating. 30 min install, 6 days to get it right!

Pull one out and take it to the hardware store. They have gauges to measure it. Or, what I did was just hold it up to other bolts. You just need to get the pitch and diameter. It is almost certain to be metric. There's only a few different thread pitches in the size you need, it will be obvious which it is. Probably something like an m14-1.75. Then get the length you want.

I just went through the same thing on my sliders, except it was a different bolt that didn't even come on a manual JK.
