Default 1.5" Teraflex coil spring lift in DD?

So for those who actually have the 1.5" coil spring lift how does it it handle on the street for a daily driver? I spend more time on the pavement then the dirt but also like hitting trails when I can. I have 33" tires and disconnects and so far so good with stock suspension but while I was in Moab I did catch the rear bumper a few times dropping over rock edges. I can not go much higher suspension wise as I have a short wife and she already complains getting in and out LOL. I am going to decide between a AEV 2" lift and the Teraflex. Currently running Rubi shocks and 17/58 springs with a 3/4" coil spacer up front.

I really liked mine. I ran 35" tires with flat fenders. It preformed well on and off road. It's a great way to add some extra lift.

Had the same wife issue, but after I installed the 2.5" lift I guess she grew a couple inches

Actually, she just figured out how to launch herself up into the seat with no drama at all - this from a grandma who has arthritis. Its all about state of mind. I promised her a step if she needed it, but a year later we still don't carry a step.

not going to happen here. I have a great wife and not expecting her to launch herself up. she has a bad ankle and not easy for her to get in.

i feel your pain. i did the performance leveling kit (1.5 coil kit) with duratrac 33x12.50/15's mounted on level 8 wheels. the wife was a big factor too besides it is a daily driver. i do between 50 and 150 miles every day. i was going to do the 2.5 coil lift at first. i'm glad i did not. the 1.5 with 33's is perfect for me and my wife. it is about as high as i could go and not have to here about it every time she gets in it. the only thing with the 1.5" kit you might want to do after you install it is you might want to upgrade your shocks to something other than stock. i found that it floated a little to much until i did. i went with the rancho rs7000mt monotube shocks.

I installed the Teraflex 1.5 performance kit on my 2010 shortly after I bought it. I love this setup. Still running the stock shocks. Rides and handles great on and offroad. No complaints.

Me too with 18/59 springs and Rubi shocks. Very happy. Both would be fine for a DD. I am also running Rubi take offs with 1.5" Spider Spacers.

Default Love it

I am running the Teraflex coil spring 1.5 lift and love it. The ride is much smoother than stock springs.
I have an 09 X so I also added the Rubicon red shocks that I got from Craigslist from someone that was installing a bigger lift.
I then added Goodyear Duratrac 285-70-17 and the Jeep is perfect for daily driving and an occasional trail.
Do it, you will never regret it.
